Dengue Fever
Information and suggested lab tests.
What it is
Dengue is a viral illness spread by mosquitoes. Testing and monitoring help detect low platelets and warning signs early.
Diagnosis and tests
Early illness: dengue NS1 is commonly used. Later: dengue IgM/IgG may be advised. CBC (platelets) monitoring may be repeated based on symptoms.
Treatment and management
Treatment is supportive—fluids and monitoring as advised. Avoid NSAIDs unless your clinician approves. Seek care promptly if warning signs appear.
